Tamarack Techs and Specs Airetrak Programmable Control
|
Installation:
The Airetrak and AiretrakCD require mounting in an electrical box. Insure that
the unit is centered for proper actuator operation. Once the unit is wired, and
the programming has been completed, guide the override button through the hole
in a standard switch plate and secure.
|
|
Wiring:
State and local electrical code may require that these devices
be installed by a licensed electrician. Check with your
code officials before installing.

Programming Information:

Airetrak™ - Figure 1
AiretrakCD™ - Figure 2
|
|
Operating the Airetrak:
Refer to (figure 1) for switch positions
- Turn the ON/OFF switch to ON
- Set Time (default is 6pm to 6am)
- The set time determines how many hours each day the Airetrak
will operate; either 12 hours or 24 hours
- 12 hour: Set the speed dial to the nearest hour. Press
AM or PM. The override button will blink once for AM or twice for PM
- 24 hour: Set the speed dial to 24 hour and press the AM set
button. The override button will blink 4 times
- Set Duty Cycle (default is 5)
- The duty cycle determines how many minutes of each hour the Airetrak
will operate. Duty cycle is set in 5 minute intervals. For example, a
duty cycle of 1 equals 5 minutes, 2 is 10 minutes and 6 is 30 minutes.
- Set the speed dial for the desired interval and then press the duty cycle.
The override button will blink 3 times
- Set Speed
- The speed determines the voltage sent to the system from the
Airetrak. A speed setting of 1 is full line voltage and each increment
thereafter reduces the voltage by 5%. 16 is the minimum
- Set the speed control in the desired position to set airflow
- Note: Because the Airetrak is used with many different makes
and models of equipment, in so many different configurations, we can not
publish flow rates for every application. The only reliable way to
determine airflow is by direct measurement.
- Remove Battery Tag
- Gently pull the battery tag from the unit. Removing the battery tag
initiates the battery circuit. The battery circuit will maintain the
installed program
- Test Override Circuit
- Press the override button. The override button will glow yellow.
Press again and the yellow light will go out

Operating the AiretrakCD (Constant Duty):
Refer to (figure 2) for switch positions.
The AiretrakCD is factory programmed to run continually, 24 hours every
day. All you will need to set is the desired speed.
- Turn the ON/OFF switch to ON
- The override button will glow green
- Set Speed
- The speed determines the voltage sent to the system from the
AiretrakCD. A speed setting of 1 is full line voltage and each
increment thereafter reduces the voltage by 5%. 12 is the minimum
- Set the speed control in the desired position to set airflow

models of equipment, in so many different configurations, we can not

determine airflow is by direct measurement.
- Test Override Circuit
- Press the override button. The override button will glow
yellow and operate fan at full speed. Press again and the
override button will glow green
