Stiebel Eltron Indirect Solar Water Heater are made of heavy gauge steel,
with hot water tanks with single and double heat exchangers.
The Double Heat Exchangers incorporate an upper and a lower glass lined coil type heat exchanger, also made of steel.
Use Double Heat Exchangers for Solar Hot Water Systems and Solar Radiant Systems. These double heat exchangers can also be used
for wood boiler systems or any systems where you have a primary / secondary heating systems.
For the Double Heat Exchanger Tanks, the upper heat exchanger coil is designed to be linked to a
hydronic boiler or other backup heat. The lower coil is to be connected to the solar
panels.
Stiebel Eltron single heat exchanger tanks are perfect for potable hot water systems or when you
only have one primary heat source that heats the indirect tank. For example - a typical boiler heating
for potable hot water.
Stiebel Eltron Tanks have a well for a temperature sensing probe.
