Bosch AquaStar Model 125 FX
Built by Bosch, the Aqua Star 125 FX is the same great heater as the 125HX - but with a built in power vent. This model uses a standard plug for the power vent and electronic ignition. If you need an AquaStar and want to vent out through a side wall - then this is the heater for you! And just like the 125HX - the 125FX uses no energy when idle, the 125FX has an energy factor of .80 the average storage tank heater has an energy factor of just .59. This instantaneous hot water tank is available in both gas tankless hot water heater and propane water heater. Please Note: The Bosch Aquastar 125FX can only be vented horizontally - so it must be vented through an outside wall and requires an outside terminator (vent hood). Also the 125FX should have a back flow preventer for areas where temperatures fall below 32 degrees. See the link below for the optional FXHOOD. Aqua Star Model 125 HX
Robert Bosch, Inc., developed the 125HX patented hydro-generated ignition system that requires no standing pilot, electricity, or batteries. The Aquastar 125HX is the first tankless natural gas water heater to use this technology for pilot ignition. Hydro-generated ignition works much like the giant turbines in a hydroelectric dam using the flow of water to generate electricity. When a hot water tap is opened, cold water flows through the 125HX's hydro generator. The flowing water spins a tiny turbine, which, in turn, instantly produces electricity. This electricity creates the spark required to light the burners and the water is then heated as it passes through a copper heat exchanger.
