The Taco bronze circulators can be used in Open Loop Solar systems and Domestic Hot Water Systems. Cast Iron Taco Pumps must be used for closed loop hydronic heating systems only. Cast Iron Taco Pumps used in open loop heating hydronic system will fail quickly and void all warranties.
