Solar Hot Water Heating system where you have two heating sources. Generally, the bottom heat exchanger is where you
pipe to the primary heat source and the top heat exchanger the back-up heat source.

What is an indirect water heater? An indirect is a storage tank with a heating coil built inside the tank. Hot
water from any hydronic heating boiler is circulated through the coil inside to heat all the water in the tank. The
unit is piped like any other heating zone.
