Pex pipe in any combination. Disassembly of a connection is just as fast using the simple disconnect tool (Demount Clip).
SharkBite fittings can even be rotated after assembly for easier installation in tight spaces.
Sharkbite fittings are made of DZR (dezincification resistant) brass which provides a strong, durable fitting that is corrosion resistant.
The SharkBite fitttings are designed and certified to ANSI/NSF-61 and ASSE 1061 product standard for use in potable water and
hydronic heating water distribution.
At this time, this only applies to Vermont and California.
As of January 1, 2010, changes to California and Vermont laws prohibit selling any pipes, fittings, or fixtures that are intended
to dispense or convey drinking water and that has a weighted average lead content of more than 0.25% based on a wetted surface
area calculation.
