Boiler Treatments - Corrosion Inhibitor

Description
Pro-Tek 922 is a premium concentrated corrosion and scale inhibitor treatment specially formulated for hot water closed loop heating systems. It will prevent scale and corrosion on aluminum, copper, iron, brass and stainless steel. Pro-Tek 922 has also been tested and is compatible with flexible tubing typically used in radiant installations.


Advantages
When used as directed Pro-Tek 922 will prolong the life of hot water systems by reducing the rate of corrosion and help maintain operating efficiency by preventing scale formation on heat exchange surfaces. Pro-Tek 922 will remove oxygen, control fluid pH and provide corrosion and scale protection to glycol treated systems. Pro-Tek 922 is non-hazardous and environmentally friendly. Use for Gas Boilers, Oil Boilers, Propane Boilers or any Hydronic Heating Boiler.


Directions
  1. It is recommended that all new and existing hydronic boiler systems first be cleaned and passivated with Rhomar Hydro-SoIv 9100 cleaner. After cleaning, thoroughly flush until the water runs clear.
  2. Thoroughly flush the system to remove as many contaminants as possible.


Testing
Pro-Tek 922 can be accurately tested using Rhomar test kit #158. Add Pro-Tek 922TM until a level of 30-60 ppm and a pH of 7.5-9.0 are achieved. All zone valves should be opened and the system fluid thoroughly circulated before testing. It is recommended the system be tested annually for proper treatment protection and additional Pro-Tek 922 be added when test results drop below 20 ppm or when pH is below 7.5. Samples can also be sent to Rhomar Water Management for testing.
