The following is the minimum size of the open space in which the T-K2 may be installed in compliance with this requirement: Model Volume Area with an 8' ceiling T-K2 9,250 cubic feet 1,156 square feet If the T-K2 is installed in an area smaller than indicated above, then the installer must make special provisions for combustion air in the form of two openings, each one within 12" of the top and 12" of the bottom of the space, having a total free area of 1 square inch per 1,000 Btu/hr of rated input if the air is taken from inside the house (two 13" x 13" openings). This requirement reduces to 1 square inch per 4,000 Btu/hr if the air is taken from the outside (two 6.5" x 6.5" openings). Note: This calculation assumes normal rates of "infiltration" of outside air. A super-insulated, super-tight space/building may require outside air for the T-K2 even though the volume/area of the space meets this application. Caution: In addition to the above, the T-K2 must be properly vented to ensure safe and efficient operation. Output Temperature Ratings of the Takagi T-K2 The T-K2 is factory preset at 120°. You can change the output temperature with the internal dipswitches to 105°, 112°, 120° or 180°. If you want to use any other temperatures than this - you can purchase the optional Remote Control Temperature that will allow the T-K2 to have output temperatures from 95° to 180°. Please Note: Hot Water Heater Temperatures over 125°F can cause severe burns instantly or death from scalding. Children, disabled and elderly are at the highest risk of being scaled. Feel water temperature before bathing or showering.
