Radiant Heat Shunt Package

Designed to easily add radiant floor heating to any home, garage or work shop.
HouseNeeds.com Shunt Packages can be added into your existing hydronic baseboard
system or used to create an entirely new system. Multiple shunts can be combined,
if there are different radiant floor types in one system. When the shunts are coupled
with an optional outdoor reset control, it can provide weather responsive control,
optimizing your systems efficiency.
A mixing valve is considered the best way to lower/control temperatures for a
radiant zone. The pump should always be pulling from the mix side. This pulls water
evenly through the mixing valve. Multiple mixing valves can be used for concrete,
wood floors, radiators, fan convectors or baseboard. The heat source is set to the
highest temperature needed. Multiple zones can reside off of a single mixing valve.
We use only high quality hydronic components, such as TACO, Honeywell, Webstone and
Grundfos. Shark-bite fittings accept copper, PEX or CPVC. This versatile technology is
approved for heating or domestic applications. Self-sealing and reusable. No pipe
sweating required! We use the brands that professional plumbers pick for their
own home.
