Vanex PEX tube (cross-linked polyethylene) is
flexible, durable and proven through more than 20 years of use throughout
Europe. Vanex Plumbing PEX Pipe is recommended for use in hot and cold water distribution.
Vanex Plumbing PEX Tube in red or blue, is available in 3/8" and 1/2" sizes in
coils of 100 or 500 foot lengths.
Vanex PEX tubing offers the benefit of red and blue color coding for easy
identification of hot and cold lines, but can be used interchangeably.
Vanex is CTS-OD sized (copper tube size, outside diameter controlled)
with an SDR-9 (Standard Dimension Ratio) wall thickness which yields maximum
pressure/temperature ratings of 100 psi @ 180°F and 160 psi @ 73°F. Vanex is
manufactured and third party certified to ASTM F 876 and F 877.
Cross-linking is a permanent chemical change that occurs in Vanex,
giving it these advantages over other piping materials:
- Vanex - Plumbing Pex Tubing - is flexible and can be installed with fewer directional fittings in
less time, and at less expense, than rigid plumbing systems
- Vanex can stretch to accommodate the expansion of freezing water and then
return to its original size when water thaws. Although Vanex is highly
freeze-break resistant, no material is freeze-break proof
- Vanex offers superior chemical and environmental stress crack resistance
- Vanex Plumbing PEX tubing connected with the CRIMPSERT fitting system and pex crimper
is one of the fastest joining systems in the U.S.
